Are you assertive?

It is sometimes difficult to communicate their feelings without becoming angry or even a little 'aggressive especially when you hear that others are ignoring your point of view and not taking into account your feelings or opinions. It 's important to understand and control how you react to situations of conflict. Sometimes people who want to avoid conflict at all costs become passive and quickly down from the position held, or not to discuss certain topics with colleagues or line managers. Other group members may have difficulty communicating their ideas and then react very negatively when some individuals are born and use destructive, aggressive tactics and even humiliating to ensure that their needs and requirements are always satisfied than those working with them . Issues as they affect in the final analysis, the management team and the effectiveness of the organization!

Assertiveness is the ability of an individual or a management team, the confidence to express themselves and communicate directly in a controlled manner to their needs, while having empathy with the needs of others. Body language, such as posture, eye contact, gestures, facial expressions and the speed and tone of voice, they also have an important role to play in shedding light on the other passive, assertive or even aggressive behavior .

If one feels responsible for the quality that they need to stop a production line because of a quality problem, how can they communicate it to production?

(A) to stop the line NOW!

(B) You are always in a mess and now you've done it again!

(C0 think we have a problem, we can discuss and agree on actions that we take to solve the problem?

Assertiveness is about establishing your integrity because you have the right to express their values, opinions and implement the requirements of your job. It is also to be able to request information or assistance, take adequate time to reach conclusions, or even change their mind without feeling that such a request undermines your position in the team. Assertiveness Team is to recognize that, as we all are human beings capable of making mistakes or missing the target and that these problems can be more easily corrected in a positive rather than negative work climate. Assertiveness is to understand how a situation will influence others and to understand how they can address their concerns and questions to ensure they understand why they are making the statement or the decision, especially when they have no role in the process decision.

Assertiveness is to show the positive face of personnel management and internal organization to colleagues and externally to their customers .......
