Photo Of The Day: 05/28/2011 "Pirate Song"
"With ten cannons on each side, booming, full sail, does not cut the sea, but flies a sailing brig. Pirate ships that call for his bravery, the dreaded in every sea-known one at the other end" So begins Espronceda the legendary work, "Song of the pirate." And with guns like this, turned into street monuments, is remembered today in many of our coastal villages, the dreaded pirates. Men cruel, unscrupulous. Capable of committing the worst atrocities, without even blinking. Left in their wake a trail of terror, blood and death. Film and television, are determined to offer his friendly face nonexistent. Create colorful characters like Jack Sparrow, who are the spitting image of what is colloquially known as bad good. I mean, cruel and despicable beings, who after a life of evil, they leave a trail of occasional acts of generosity, destined to save his soul. But what about the Turkish Barbarossa, Salah Rais, Bartholomew Portuguese, Long John, Abraham Samuel and many others that terror invaded the shores of half the world?. They all lived in, and the sea. Developed a strange relationship with his boat, the breeze, the waves and salt.
So I do not find a better way to end the story today, saying that ... That is my boat, my treasure, my god, freedom, my law, and the wind strength, my only homeland, the sea.
